Altara is a deep-tech AI company (seed-stage, $7M, backed by Greylock and Jeff Dean) building an agentic scientific intelligence platform for the physical sciences. Its AI agents reason across fragmented technical data — sensor and instrument time series, wafer maps, inspection images, and experimental records — to accelerate R&D-through-manufacturing workflows such as experimental design, yield analysis, anomaly detection, and failure analysis. Altara unifies siloed data in place without migrations, giving agents full operational context across numerical, text, and image sources for semiconductors, advanced materials, batteries, medical devices, specialty chemicals, and industrials.
