Colony Capital (DigitalBridge Group)

Colony Capital was a diversified real estate and hospitality investment firm founded by Tom Barrack in 1991. In June 2021 the company rebranded as DigitalBridge Group, Inc. (NYSE: DBRG) — completing a multi-year pivot from traditional real estate to pure-play digital infrastructure investing. The Boca Raton, FL-based alternative asset manager now operates exclusively across five digital infrastructure categories: data centers, macro cell towers, fiber networks, small cells, and edge infrastructure. DigitalBridge manages approximately $119B in assets across 45+ portfolio companies including Vantage Data Centers, DataBank, Switch, Vertical Bridge, Zayo Group, GD Towers, Boingo Wireless, AtlasEdge, Scala Data Centers, Yondr Group, and ExteNet Systems. In December 2025 SoftBank Group announced a definitive agreement to acquire DigitalBridge for approximately $4 billion, with the deal expected to close in the second half of 2026. DigitalBridge itself publishes no developer API, SDK, or public OpenAPI surface — it is a holding company whose programmable surface lives inside its individual portfolio companies (e.g., Zayo, DataBank, Switch), each of which is profiled separately in the API Evangelist network.

human only

Index entry only — little beyond a description and a link, and nothing machine-readable enough for an agent to act on without a human reading the site first.

Kin Score

API Evangelist profiles Colony Capital (DigitalBridge Group) the way a machine reads it — 30 machine-readable artifacts, pulled from the provider's own public surface and indexed so a developer, an analyst, or an AI agent can evaluate it against every other provider on the network.

Every provider in the network is reduced to the same set of machine-readable artifacts — OpenAPI contracts, event specifications, GraphQL schemas, runnable collections, pricing and rate-limit signals, security posture, OAuth scopes, and the agent surfaces (MCP servers and skills) that let software drive the API on its own. We profile them because the interface is the part of a company you can actually inspect: it is a truer signal of what a provider does than any marketing page. From those artifacts we compute the Kin Score — Colony Capital (DigitalBridge Group) scores 7.2/100 (minimal), with a separate agent-readiness read of 0/100 (human only). The full breakdown is below, followed by every artifact we hold — each card links through to its machine-readable definition on apis.io.

Kin Score

This is the API Evangelist rating — a single, repeatable read computed from the artifacts on this page. Green fill is points earned; the red track is points possible, so every bar shows earned-versus-possible at a glance.
