Founders Fund

Founders Fund is a San Francisco-based venture capital firm founded in 2005 by Peter Thiel, Ken Howery, and Luke Nosek, best known for the credo "we wanted flying cars, instead we got 140 characters" and a contrarian appetite for hard science and frontier technology over incremental consumer apps. The firm backs category-defining, often monopoly-scale companies across aerospace and defense, artificial intelligence, biotech, fintech and crypto, energy, semiconductors, robotics, and deep tech, investing from seed through late-stage growth with an increasingly concentrated, high-conviction style (its recent growth funds put hundreds of millions of dollars into a small number of companies). Founders Fund manages roughly $17 billion in assets as of 2025 and is headquartered at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio. Its portfolio includes many of the defining technology companies of the era, among them SpaceX, Palantir, Anduril, Stripe, Airbnb, Facebook, Neuralink, OpenAI, DeepMind, Ramp, Nubank, Spotify, and Figma.

Founders Fund is tracked in the API Evangelist network. This page is the human-readable profile that sits on top of the machine-readable index we maintain at apis.io.

Every provider in the network is reduced to the same set of machine-readable artifacts — OpenAPI contracts, event specifications, GraphQL schemas, runnable collections, pricing and rate-limit signals, security posture, OAuth scopes, and the agent surfaces (MCP servers and skills) that let software drive the API on its own. We profile them because the interface is the part of a company you can actually inspect: it is a truer signal of what a provider does than any marketing page. The full breakdown is below, followed by every artifact we hold — each card links through to its machine-readable definition on apis.io.

Founders Fund is in the network as a tracked entity. We haven't yet indexed a public API surface for it — when one is published, the artifacts, score, and agent-readiness read will appear here automatically. The source repository is where that profile is built.
