Intact Financial
Intact Financial Corporation is the largest provider of property and casualty insurance in Canada, headquartered in Toronto and trading on the TSX as IFC. It underwrites personal auto, personal property, and commercial P&C lines through the Intact Insurance, belairdirect, BrokerLink, Intact Prestige, Intact Public Entities, and On Side Restoration brands in Canada, through Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions in the United States, and through Intact Insurance UK, EU, IE and 123.ie internationally following the 2021 acquisition of RSA. Distribution runs through a network of more than 6,000 independent broker offices plus direct-to-consumer channels. Its API posture is partner-gated and closed. There is no public, self-serve developer portal, no published API reference, and no downloadable OpenAPI, Swagger, GraphQL, or AsyncAPI artifact on any Intact domain probed. developer/developers/docs/api subdomains on intactfc.com and intact.ca do not resolve; /developers, /api, /developer and /partners return 404. The only integration surfaces are login walls — the Intact Portal for brokers at portal.intactinsurance.com (brokers.intact.ca redirects there) and the customer Client Centre behind IBM Security WebSEAL at apps.intactinsurance.com. Broker connectivity in Canada is mediated by CSIO, the industry standards body whose EDI, XML, eDocs and JSON API standards are the Canadian analogue of ACORD. Intact Insurance is listed in the CSIO member directory but appears on none of CSIO's certified-member lists (eDocs, CL Data, Compliance/Z-code, API Security Standards, JSON API Standards) and is recorded as "Not Yet Rated" on both the personal and commercial tracks of CSIO's 2026 Standards Certification Ratings. No ACORD reference was found anywhere on the company's public web properties.
More than an index entry, but the surface is still mostly links rather than artifacts — the cohort most likely to move a full band from modest, well-targeted work.
API Evangelist profiles Intact Financial the way a machine reads it — 1 machine-readable artifact, pulled from the provider's own public surface and indexed so a developer, an analyst, or an AI agent can evaluate it against every other provider on the network.
Every provider in the network is reduced to the same set of machine-readable artifacts — OpenAPI contracts, event specifications, GraphQL schemas, runnable collections, pricing and rate-limit signals, security posture, OAuth scopes, and the agent surfaces (MCP servers and skills) that let software drive the API on its own. We profile them because the interface is the part of a company you can actually inspect: it is a truer signal of what a provider does than any marketing page. From those artifacts we compute the Kin Score — Intact Financial scores 18.1/100 (emerging), with a separate agent-readiness read of 0/100 (human only). The full breakdown is below, followed by every artifact we hold — each card links through to its machine-readable definition on apis.io.
Kin Score
This is the API Evangelist rating — a single, repeatable read computed from the artifacts on this page. Green fill is points earned; the red track is points possible, so every bar shows earned-versus-possible at a glance.
