Leadout Capital

Leadout Capital is an early-stage venture capital fund headquartered in Portola Valley, California, founded in 2018 by Ali Rosenthal — an early Facebook business hire who drove growth of Facebook Mobile, later VP of Partnerships at Wealthfront, and previously of Goldman Sachs M&A and General Atlantic. The firm leads, co-leads, or takes a significant position in pre-seed and seed rounds, organizing its thesis around "founder-market fit": founders with a unique insight about a market, often born of the founding team's lived experience and their ability to build empathy with the customers they are innovating for. Leadout looks for products with strong network effects, unique data sets, organic and viral growth characteristics, great unit economics, and long-term defensibility. Its 46-company portfolio spans SaaS, vertical SaaS, marketplaces, healthcare, consumer and commerce, and infrastructure/developer tools, and includes Expo, Cloudsmith, Creatify AI, AtoB, R-Zero, Near Space Labs, Pavilion, Momentum, Axiom Cloud, and theCut. Leadout is a partner fund within Foundry Group's network-driven limited-partner model.

Leadout Capital is tracked in the API Evangelist network. This page is the human-readable profile that sits on top of the machine-readable index we maintain at apis.io.

Every provider in the network is reduced to the same set of machine-readable artifacts — OpenAPI contracts, event specifications, GraphQL schemas, runnable collections, pricing and rate-limit signals, security posture, OAuth scopes, and the agent surfaces (MCP servers and skills) that let software drive the API on its own. We profile them because the interface is the part of a company you can actually inspect: it is a truer signal of what a provider does than any marketing page. The full breakdown is below, followed by every artifact we hold — each card links through to its machine-readable definition on apis.io.

Leadout Capital is in the network as a tracked entity. We haven't yet indexed a public API surface for it — when one is published, the artifacts, score, and agent-readiness read will appear here automatically. The source repository is where that profile is built.
