Lori Systems is a Nairobi-headquartered, pan-African digital freight platform that matches cargo owners with vetted transporters to coordinate long-haul trucking across the continent. Founded in 2016 by Josh Sandler, Jean-Claude Homawoo, and Ernest Gichini Ngaruiya, the company is now led by CEO Uche Ogboi and runs operations from offices in Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda, moving cargo across roughly 12 African countries with a network of 20,000+ trucks and over $10B of cargo facilitated. The platform offers shippers instant rate estimates, load matching, real-time shipment tracking, electronic proof of delivery, and integrated payments, while giving transporters access to cargo orders, truck-availability management, and prompt payment on delivery. Lori operates a public rate-card tool at ratecard.lorisystems.com, but does not publish a public developer API, SDK, or open OpenAPI specification; its GitHub organization is limited to small internal-tooling repositories (a Singer.io tap for Freshsales, a BambooHR Python client, a Kubernetes Terraform provider, and similar utilities) rather than a customer-facing API surface.
