Magical
Magical is an AI-agent platform that automates repetitive administrative and operational workflows without requiring API integrations, instead driving the same web applications and databases a human worker would use. Originally known for its cross-application autofill and text-automation product, Magical has focused on healthcare operations, deploying specialized AI agents for patient access, revenue cycle management, prior authorizations, referrals, benefits verification, records requests, revenue integrity, and payment posting across EHR and payer systems such as Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, ModMed, Availity, and major insurers. Agents can be deployed individually or combined into autonomous suites, with the company reporting high task accuracy and multi-week deployment timelines. Magical is backed by Bain Capital Ventures, Greylock, and SV Angel. Notably, Magical operates through user-interface automation ("no APIs or integrations are required") rather than by exposing a public developer API.
