NowRx

NowRx Inc. was a Silicon Valley technology-enabled pharmacy that paired proprietary prescription-fulfilment software (marketed as QuickFill), robotic dispensing inside low-overhead micro-fulfilment centers, and its own last-mile courier fleet to offer free same-day and same-hour delivery of prescription medications across California and Arizona. Founded in 2015 and led by co-founder and CEO Cary Breese, it raised roughly $30M — an unusually large share of it from retail investors through SeedInvest equity crowdfunding — and was last marked at about a $275M valuation before running out of money. The company wound down in late 2022: Alto Pharmacy acquired its California pharmacy patient business effective 2022-11-30 and Capsule took its Arizona patient files, with patients transferred automatically. NowRx never operated a public developer program. No api., developer., docs. or app. host under nowrx.com resolves or has ever been archived, its GitHub organization now holds zero public repositories, and the only surviving first-party engineering artifacts are two npm packages under the @nowrx scope — both vendored forks of third-party React Native libraries, last published in January 2022. The nowrx.com domain is no longer the company's: since late December 2023 it has served an unrelated WordPress health-content site under registrar privacy, so it is deliberately NOT wired here as a Website pointer. This profile is retained as a historical company record.

human only

Index entry only — little beyond a description and a link, and nothing machine-readable enough for an agent to act on without a human reading the site first.

Kin Score

NowRx is tracked in the API Evangelist network. This page is the human-readable profile that sits on top of the machine-readable index we maintain at apis.io.

Every provider in the network is reduced to the same set of machine-readable artifacts — OpenAPI contracts, event specifications, GraphQL schemas, runnable collections, pricing and rate-limit signals, security posture, OAuth scopes, and the agent surfaces (MCP servers and skills) that let software drive the API on its own. We profile them because the interface is the part of a company you can actually inspect: it is a truer signal of what a provider does than any marketing page. From those artifacts we compute the Kin Score — NowRx scores 2.2/100 (minimal), with a separate agent-readiness read of 0/100 (human only). The full breakdown is below, followed by every artifact we hold — each card links through to its machine-readable definition on apis.io.

No API surface

Why this profile is thin

NowRx Inc. ceased operating in November 2022 — Alto Pharmacy bought its California patient business effective 2022-11-30 and Capsule took the Arizona files — and it never published a developer program in the first place: api.nowrx.com, developer.nowrx.com, docs.nowrx.com and app.nowrx.com return no DNS records, the Wayback Machine holds no snapshot of nowrx.com/api, /developer, /developers or /docs, and the company's GitHub organization (github.com/NowRx) is live but holds zero public repositories after its two repos were transferred to Ameripharma. The nowrx.com domain itself answers 200 but has been an unrelated WordPress health-content site since late December 2023, so its /wp-json/ REST API belongs to the current domain holder and not to this company.

This is an honest zero, not a gap in our research. NowRx does not appear to expose an API, so there is nothing here for us to index and nothing for them to fix.

Kin Score

This is the API Evangelist rating — a single, repeatable read computed from the artifacts on this page. Green fill is points earned; the red track is points possible, so every bar shows earned-versus-possible at a glance. Every facet and dimension name is a link: it opens that measurement's page on APIs.io, where the rating runs across the whole catalog — the exact checks that feed it, how every profiled provider distributes on it, and who is at the top of it.

NowRx is in the network as a tracked entity. We haven't yet indexed a public API surface for it — when one is published, the artifacts, score, and agent-readiness read will appear here automatically. The source repository is where that profile is built.

Where this information came from

This is an independent, third-party profile of NowRx, published by API Evangelist. We do not operate, host, resell, or support these APIs, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the company unless stated above. Everything here is built from publicly available information — the company's own site, developer portal, documentation, public repositories, and the specifications it publishes for public use. Nothing is obtained by breaching a system, defeating an access control, or using credentials.

The Kin Score and Agent Readiness rating are independently calculated assessments of a company's public API artifacts, scored against a published rubric. They are not certifications, endorsements, security assessments, or audits.

Corrections, re-scores, and removal are free — no partnership or purchase required, and you do not need to justify the request. A removed company is recorded as unrated, never scored zero for having asked. Acknowledgement within one business day; removal within two.
