Quantum Systems
Quantum-Systems GmbH is a Gilching/Munich, Germany-based dual-use drone manufacturer founded in 2015 by former Bundeswehr helicopter pilot Florian Seibel. The company designs, builds, and operates small electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) fixed-wing unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for reconnaissance, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition (RSTA), surveying, and mapping. Its flagship platforms include the Trinity Pro (mapping/surveying VTOL with up to 90-minute endurance), the Vector tactical reconnaissance drone (the de facto main small UAS supplier to the German Bundeswehr and, with 619+ systems delivered as of April 2025, one of the most-used Western reconnaissance drones in Ukraine), the Reliant long-range Group 2 ISR/RSTA platform built for the U.S. market with 10+ hours endurance and hot-swappable MOD-compliant payload bays (EO/IR, SIGINT, EW, CRPA), and the Ukraine-manufactured Sparta drone carrier that delivers two FPV drones to a 200 km combat radius. All platforms are operated through QBase 3D, Quantum-Systems' proprietary Windows-based mission planning, control, and post-processing software with integrated ESRI terrain data and direct export to Pix4D, Agisoft, Propeller, and Trimble Business Center. The Vector tactical line is built on Auterion's flight stack. Backed by HV Capital, DTCP, Thiel Capital, Project A, Airbus Ventures, and Omnes Capital, the company reached unicorn status in May 2025 as "Europe's first dual-use unicorn." Quantum-Systems supplies the militaries of Germany, the United States, Ukraine, Australia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, and Spain. There is no public developer API, REST endpoint, SDK, or open-source release for QBase 3D or any Quantum-Systems platform; integration with Pix4D/Agisoft/Propeller/Trimble is via standard photogrammetry file exchange (GeoTIFF, RAW imagery, flight logs), not a programmable API.
