Shape Security
Shape Security was a bot-mitigation and anti-fraud company whose behavioral and telemetry-based defenses protected web and mobile applications from automated attacks such as credential stuffing, account takeover, and fake account creation. Backed by Norwest Venture Partners and other investors, the company was acquired by F5 Networks in early 2020 and its technology now ships as F5 Distributed Cloud Bot Defense. Shape Security does not operate a standalone public developer API; its original shapesecurity.com domain now redirects (HTTP 301) to the F5 product page, and integration and API documentation are served from F5 developer properties (clouddocs.f5.com, my.f5.com). This profile is retained as an acquired-company record within the API Evangelist network.
