Thndr
Thndr is an Egyptian investment and brokerage mobile app that lets retail users open a regulated brokerage account and invest in Egyptian Exchange (EGX) stocks, US equities, mutual funds, ETFs, and IPOs from their phone. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Cairo, Thndr is licensed by Egypt's Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and registered with the Egyptian Exchange as a brokerage, positioning itself as a low-cost, mobile-first gateway to the capital markets across Egypt and the wider MENA region. The company raised a $20M Series A in 2022 led by Tiger Global with participation from Prosus Ventures and others, and has been recognized among Forbes Middle East's top fintech companies. Thndr's product surface is a consumer investing app (iOS, Android, and a web account-access portal) with an educational Learn hub and a customer support center; as of this profile it publishes no public developer program, API documentation, or machine-readable API artifacts.
More than an index entry, but the surface is still mostly links rather than artifacts — the cohort most likely to move a full band from modest, well-targeted work.
Thndr is tracked in the API Evangelist network. This page is the human-readable profile that sits on top of the machine-readable index we maintain at apis.io.
Every provider in the network is reduced to the same set of machine-readable artifacts — OpenAPI contracts, event specifications, GraphQL schemas, runnable collections, pricing and rate-limit signals, security posture, OAuth scopes, and the agent surfaces (MCP servers and skills) that let software drive the API on its own. We profile them because the interface is the part of a company you can actually inspect: it is a truer signal of what a provider does than any marketing page. From those artifacts we compute the Kin Score — Thndr scores 15.3/100 (emerging), with a separate agent-readiness read of 0/100 (human only). The full breakdown is below, followed by every artifact we hold — each card links through to its machine-readable definition on apis.io.
Kin Score
This is the API Evangelist rating — a single, repeatable read computed from the artifacts on this page. Green fill is points earned; the red track is points possible, so every bar shows earned-versus-possible at a glance.

The organization behind the API
Thndr is in the network as a tracked entity. We haven't yet indexed a public API surface for it — when one is published, the artifacts, score, and agent-readiness read will appear here automatically. The source repository is where that profile is built.
